Carroll County Electric Department was chartered in 1938 and is branch of the county government. Owned by the county, we are governed by an independent power board appointed by the county mayor and approved by the county commission. The board has five members and each serves a staggered four-year term. One member must be an incumbent county commissioner.

The company has about fifty employees that serve approximately 16,000 customers in parts of Carroll and Henderson Counties. Our business office is located in Huntingdon with warehouse operations located in Huntingdon and McKenzie, Tennessee.
